This ministry knits and crochets shawls, lap robes, baby blankets, and Baptism bibs for the sick and needy of our community. Interested in joining? We are looking for knitters and crocheters! No experience necessary! We will gladly teach you! Yarn is provided! All that is needed is a love of neighbor and an interest in knitting and crocheting.
Our MissionThe Prayer Shawl Ministry of St. Bernard of Clairvaux is made up of women using our creative gifts of crocheting or knitting to reach out to those around us. We use our talents to create shawls for those who are in need. Shawls are given to those who are ill, suffering from a loss, or finding life difficult. The shawls are a very visible sign of our love for our neighbor. Just like the feeling of our Lord's arms around us at times of difficulty, the shawls provide warmth and comfort. The shawls are a reminder that we are never alone.

When We Meet
We meet monthly, offering two opportunities to gather in order to accommodate schedules:
On the second Thursday of the month in the Parish Library located in the Church basement at 9:00 AM
or
in Room A/B located in the Church basement at 7:00 PM
There are people in our community who will benefit from feeling the warmth of a blanket and heartfelt prayers from our parishioners. We have some beautifully crafted shawls on hand for those in need. If you or someone you know would like one, please contact us.
