Stewardship Council / Youth Group Community Service Day November 2013 Despite the determined efforts of our parish maintenance staff, the parish grounds are still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy. To assist the staff, The Stewardship Council and the High School Youth Group co-sponsored a Community Service Day to reclaim a section of the parish property. It is hoped that this area can then be used for gatherings, picnicking and recreation. This event took place on Saturday, November 16th, starting with 9:00 am Mass. Approximately 50 parishioners joined in a very successful effort to clean-out a portion of the church property. Young and “not-so-young” gathered to assist and took this great opportunity to be good stewards to our parish. A fun day was had by all. And the saying that “many hands make light work” sure rang true as the group finished ahead of schedule. The day ended with a group lunch in the cafeteria. Thank you to all for your wonderful efforts! Following are pictures from the days work!
