Monsignor Randall J. Vashon was born in Waterville, Maine, to the late Simone and Clarence Vashon. He has two brothers, Jim and Wayne who still reside in Maine with their families.
Monsignor Vashon completed his seminary training at Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary, Weston, Mass., receiving a Master of Divinity Degree and was ordained by Bishop Vincent De Paul Breen on May 27, 2000 for service in the Diocese of Metuchen. In September of 2011, His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI honored Msgr. Vashon by naming him a Chaplain to His Holiness with the title of “Reverend Monsignor.”
Since his ordination, he has served at St. Joseph Parish in Bound Brook, St. Thomas the Apostle in Old Bridge, Nativity of Our Lord in Monroe, Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary in Hopelawn and Holy Spirit in Perth Amboy (now Good Shepherd Parish), and most recently as the pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Annandale.
Prior to his ordination, Msgr. Vashon had a successful career in banking and trust accounting automation.
