There are three main councils that help to cultivate the work and mission of the parish. They are:
St. Bernard’s five pastoral life commissions flow out of the Pastoral and Stewardship Councils. The commissions are based on the five main pillars of the Christian mission – evangelization, catechesis, worship, service to the needy and poor, and building up the Body of Christ, the Church.
The Pastoral Life Commissions serve through prayer, study and parish-focused reflection. They explore the larger issues involved in ministry and work in cooperation with our pastor, councils and parish staff to bring about greater cohesion and direction to the pastoral activities of the parish. All pastoral programs within the parish are located within one of these Commissions listed below.
