Welcome to the Catholic Church of St. Bernard of Clairvaux, in Bridgewater, New Jersey! St. Bernard is the oldest Catholic Church in Somerset County and has a distinguished legacy of faith and service to the people of our area.

Originally a stop along the mission trails, today St. Bernard has grown to a parish of 2,400 registered households, serving the community of Raritan, and portions of Bridgewater and Branchburg Townships.

Whether you are a parishioner, future parishioner or just surfing, I hope you find our website informative and representative of our mission to evangelize and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are indeed blessed here at St. Bernard with a vibrant and active community of many wonderful people. Drawing upon our spiritual bond, common faith and love for the Lord, the parish community has various ministries and organizations, many of which are outlined on our website, that help us fulfill our parish mission.

These ministries may be a resource for you now or in the future. These same ministries and organizations may also provide an outlet for your time and talents and allow you to become an active part of our worshiping community as we constantly strive to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
