Try to imagine 100 five to six foot Christmas trees all shining in the night from the white lights adorning them around our Alpha Omega Garden throughout the Christmas Season. Each tree is dedicated to one of our Parish families or a loved one. That’s what we are trying to accomplish as a part of our Parish’ First Annual Christmas Remembrance Fundraiser. What better way is there to recognize or remember a special person in our lives. Please consider sponsoring a tree in this our first year for this fundraiser. A donation of $200 will reserve a tree for your special remembrance. You need do nothing else except provide the appropriate information to hang on your tree regarding your remembrance. The tree will be put in place and lights hung on your behalf. Your remembrance words will be hung on the tree as well. The tree lighting ceremony will be held after the 5:15 mass on Saturday, December 3rd and will be lit each evening throughout the Christmas season. Trees will be reserved on a first-come first-served basis. Once the hundred trees are sponsored, no additional reservations will be taken. Sign-ups for tree sponsors will commence October 15th and 16th after each mass in the Narthex and will continue after mass in future weeks until all the trees are sponsored. The Committee organizing this fundraiser is also in need of volunteers to assist in setting up the trees during the weekend of November 26th and taking down the trees on the weekend of January 7th . If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to set up or take down please contact Tim O’Connor at [email protected] or Paul Rippas at [email protected]
