Established in 1876, St. Bernard Cemetery is one of the oldest Catholic Cemeteries in Somerset County. Serving the parish community of St. Bernard and the parishes in the surrounding area, the cemetery is located on Route 28 West, just one mile from the Somerville Circle.
Both in ground grave plots and above ground mausoleum crypts are available with a beautiful prayer garden with walkways and six meditation areas. Granite benches, a variety of trees and garden stones are available for memorialization to honor your loved ones.
Camilo Ramirez, our Cemetery Director, manages and maintains the mausoleums and cemetery grounds, as well as caring for our families before and after bereavement. Camilo is available to meet with families to discuss all of the options St. Bernard has to offer, and the importance of choosing a Catholic Cemetery as final resting place for themselves and their loved ones.
Mary Beth Hansen, our Cemetery Office Manager, works out of the cemetery house office on Route 28. Her duties include assisting Camilo with new and innovative ideas and programs to serve our families and the maintenance and updating of all cemetery records. Mary Beth also handles all billing and administrative tasks.
If you need to discuss Cemetery business or have questions about St. Bernard Cemetery, including inquiries concerning the purchase or the location of grave-sites or mausoleum spaces, please contact Mary Beth in the office. She will also handle any billing or deed inquiries you may have. Mary Beth is generally in the Cemetery Office located at 551 Route 28, adjacent to the cemetery, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm each weekday. You may also email the cemetery at [email protected].
